Boy Scout Scout-o-Rama Sky View

The NWFAA is once again proud to support the Choctawhatchee District of the Boy Scouts of America with a solar sky view at their annual Scout-o-Rama.

The public is invited to join us as we set up telescopes with filters to allow safe viewing of the sun.
White light as well as Hydrogen-alpha filters will allow the observer to view not only sun-spots (if there are any) but solar flares and prominences (if there are any).

Several of our members are merit badge counselors and will be on hand to discuss requirements and support for earning the Astronomy merit badge.
