In association with the Emerald Coast Science Center, the NorthWest Florida Astronomy Association’s first workshop of 2018 will be held Thursday the 4th of January at the Emerald Coast Science Center. The topic of the workshop will be “How to use your new telescope”. The public is invited to bring their new telescopes (or the old scope hiding in your closet) for an evening of instruction and advice. Maybe you’re having trouble with the terminology, difficulty aligning the mount, or just can’t find what you are looking for. Bring out your gear, we just might be able to help.

The workshop starts at 5 P.M. Come any time between 5:00 PM and 7:30 PM. Stay only as long as you need to get the info that you are looking for. The center closes at 8:00 PM. If your scope is powered bring a fresh set of batteries and any instructions/manuals that may have come with your equipment. If you have any questions call Tom Haugh (850)678-6483 or the ECSC (850)664-1261.
